Dieting, Day 19: Almost three weeks in and still going strong. Well, at least as far as my diet is concerned. I forgot to post my weight on Tuesday, but it was 225 lbs even. That's down 3.2 lbs which is much closer to my expected 2-3 lbs per week. I admit I have been struggling a bit with exercising... it's just so hard to stay motivated when you've been working for 8 hours each day plus another hour stuck in traffic. I just need to knuckle down more and get into the habit of doing it.
Work has been completely insane this week. Even though I took Wednesday off (for car repairs and errands) I've still been much busier than normal. Hopefully it should settle down a little bit though. Although the craziness of work was broken up by a nice dinner on Tuesday with Kate's parents, and then another dinner on Wednesday with Whitney and Steve.
Tomorrow evening my father and stepmother will be coming over for dinner to meet Kate's mother. Kate's father was also supposed to be present, but he ended up having to go to Minnesota for some kind of big veterinary meeting. I'm planning on keeping the menu fairly simple... veggies, dip, cheese, and crackers for an appetizer, followed by beef and chicken kabobs with onions, zucchini, squash, and green and red peppers, and a side of brown rice, then an as of yet to be determined dessert. Hopefully all will go well.
Other than that I'm expecting a fairly quiet weekend. I'll probably spend a good portion of Sunday playing Sid Meier's Pirates, which I am still waiting on from GameFly. I'm also considering taking Kate to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
It will be nice to have a slow weekend, as compared to the craziness of last weekend.

Re: YO
I'll check if they are hiring or not. You'd need to put together a writing sample, specifically a game review since that's what you want to do. Part time people do two reviews a month, and full time do four.- T
